Word Order Matters

Place the result complement between the verb and the object.
xiě cuò zì。

Never put it after the object:
cí xù hěn zhòng yào

bǎ jié guǒ bǔ yǔ fàng zài dòng cí hé bīn yǔ zhī jiān。

Start with 看到, 听到, and 完 — these are the most common.
cóng kàndào、 tīngdào hé wán kāishǐ——zhèxiē shì zuì chángjiàn de。

Once comfortable, add others gradually.
shúxī yǐhòu， zhújiàn jiārù qítā bǔyǔ。

Remember: the complement shows the result, not just that the action happened.
