The structure 比不上 is used for unequal comparisons, indicating that one object does not measure up to or is inferior to another.
Explanation (解释 jiěshì)
Use 比不上 (bǐ bu shàng) to state directly that A cannot compare to B, or that A is inferior to B. This is a direct form of comparison that emphasizes the gap between the two.
Unlike the 没有...那么... structure, which simply describes A as not reaching B's level, 比不上 implies a clear inferiority in quality, ability, or some other respect. This structure is very straightforward and commonly used in spoken language.
