没法/没办法 expresses helplessness or inability to do something due to objective circumstances; there is no way to do it.
Explanation (解释 jiěshì)
Both 没法 (méi fǎ) and 没办法 (méi bànfǎ) mean "there's no way," "to be at a loss," or "there's nothing one can do." They express the inability to carry out an action due to external constraints or difficulties. In colloquial speech, 没办法 is used slightly more frequently. This structure emphasizes the speaker's helplessness in a given situation.

- 堵车太厉害了，我没办法准时到。繁: 堵車太厲害了，我沒辦法準時到。Dǔchē tài lìhai le, wǒ méi bànfǎ zhǔnshí dào.
The traffic jam is too severe, I have no way to arrive on time.
- 手机坏了，没法打电话。繁: 手機壞了，沒法打電話。Shǒujī huài le, méi fǎ dǎ diànhuà.
The phone is broken and I can't make calls.
- 这个问题太复杂，我也没办法。繁: 這個問題太複雜，我也沒辦法。Zhè ge wèntí tài fùzá, wǒ yě méi bànfǎ.

Common mistakes
- Wrong:我不是办法帮你。Correct:我没办法帮你。
没办法 is a fixed phrase meaning "there is no way" or "it can't be helped," not "is not a way."
- Wrong:我没办法会说中文。Correct:我不会说中文。
没办法 is used for situations of helplessness, not for expressing lack of skill; use 不会 in that case.
