Common mistakes

  • Wrong:他似的像个孩子。
    Correct:他像个孩子似的。

似的 must stand at the end of the comparative clause, after the object used for comparison (here `孩子`).

  • Wrong:他的想法跟我似的。
    Correct:他的想法跟我的一样。

似的 cannot function as an independent predicate; use 一样 instead in this case.
