The structure '一…也/都不…' is used to emphasize total negation, meaning 'not even a little' or 'not at all'.

Explanation (解释 jiěshì)

This is an emphatic way to express absolute negation. Instead of simply saying 我不喝 (I don't drink), you can say 我一口也不喝 (I won't drink even a single sip) to convey decisiveness.

Use 不 (bù) to negate present or future actions, or habitual ones.
Use 没 (méi) to negate actions that have already occurred in the past, or to express non-possession (not having).
也 (yě) and 都 (dōu) are interchangeable in this structure.

Wrong:我一钱也没有。

A measure word (for example: 分, 个, 本) must be placed after 一 and before the noun.

Cannot omit `也` or `都`; they are essential components of this emphatic structure.
Wrong:我昨天一口酒也不喝。
