Preposition 关于 is used to introduce the topic or subject being discussed, often translated as 'about' or 'related to'.
Explanation (解释 jiěshì)
The preposition 关于 (guānyú) is used to indicate the scope or topic of a matter, equivalent to 'about' or 'regarding' in English. A phrase with 关于 is typically placed at the beginning of a sentence to introduce the context for the main clause that follows.
It can also function as an attributive modifier, placed before a noun to modify it, e.g.: 一本关于历史的书 (a book about history).

Common mistakes
- Wrong:我们谈了关于那个计划。Correct:关于那个计划，我们谈了。
The phrase '关于 + noun' typically appears at the beginning of a sentence to introduce a topic and cannot stand after a verb like in Vietnamese.
- Wrong:我想了解关于你的爱好。Correct:我想了解你的爱好。
The verb 了解 can take the object (你的爱好) directly without unnecessarily adding 关于.
