The adverb 也 is used to express similarity, meaning "also" or "too."

也 (yě) is an adverb meaning "also" or "too." It is used to indicate that the subject of the sentence shares an action or characteristic that has already been mentioned.
The position of 也 is important: it always comes before the verb or adjective. In negative sentences, 也 precedes 不 or 没.
